CHARITY SHOP
We are delighted to have opened our first ever Charity Shop at The Old Post Office, Worthing Road, Southwater RH13 9DT. The GRAND OPENING took place on Wednesday 12th December 2012 at 2.00pm and the Shop was officially opened by Dame Vera's daughter, Virginia alongside Peter Sutton, Chairman of the Trust and Gary Shipton, Editor-in-Chief of the West Sussex County Times. We were joined by our band of new volunteers, local businesses and the public to celebrate this major milestone.
Shop manager, Jane Easton, is keen to welcome more volunteers, donors and customers and to work with local businesses to make Southwater an even better shopping experience as well as raising money and support for the Dame Vera Lynn Trust’s Schools for Parents.
We have a huge variety of items for sale including clothes, toys, bric-a-brac, furniture and books. Do go along and have a look as there are some great bargains to be had. We also have a Vintage section if you are looking for something a bit different.
The shop is open at the following times:
Monday to Friday - 9.00.00am to 4.30pm
Saturday - 9.00am to 1.00pm
If you have any spare time and would like to volunteer for our shop please contact the Trust office for a Volunteer pack 01403 780444 or telephone Jane at the Shop on 01403 734441 for further details. You can also email us
